Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy uses traditional manual techniques that benefit persons of all ages. The overall objective is to help the client relieve symptoms of stress and muscle tension, reduce pain and increase joint mobility and motion. In Ontario, Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are highly trained professional Health Care Practitioners who are subject to the policies of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and must maintain high ethical and practical standards in the care of their clients. The policies are in place to maximize the wellness of the client, while ensuring your safety and privacy.
Good communication is essential throughout your massage session. You have the right, at any time, to let your therapist know of any discomfort or pain. Your therapist will stop or modify the treatment according to your feedback and direction. Massage is generally a very enjoyable experience and is a real treat for your body. Each person however has a different tolerance for pain – some prefer a softer touch, others a deeper treatment. Please let your therapist know your preference at any time during your session.
