The truth will set you free

TRUTH. THE TRUTH HURTS. TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION. THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE. AN OVERWORKED WORD AND AN UNDERWORKED CONCEPT. I SUGGEST TO YOU THAT THE TRUTH IS THE FINEST, SHARPEST TOOL IN A WIDE ARRAY OF TOOLS AVAILABLE TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE AND THE HEALTH OF YOUR SPIRIT.

Have you ever wondered why you “do those things you do”? Do you procrastinate? Do you suppress emotions? Do you narcotize? Is anger a problem? Take heart, there are tools that allow you to see straight into the core of these issues and resolve them. Sometimes instantly, and other times it’s like a domino effect by clearing one issue allows others to fall away from you.

By opening and surrendering to the truth of what is here in this moment, you will see that truth will lead you to a deeper truth until the ultimate final truth sets you free. The truth will set you free. Truth supports truth. All we have to do is have the willingness to know this truth- the willingness to see what this truth really is. I believe that the pain, hurt, shame or guilt that we feel is in the resistance to the truth. We are conditioned to resist, to avoid and put dynamics and strategies in place not to feel what is really here in this moment. Why do we do this? Because we feel and even believe, that this is where the pain really lies. It has been my experience that the pain lies in the resistance. And sometimes, we get a secondary gain from clinging to that which we truly want to be free of. For example, subconsciously we might hang on to anger towards someone because we believe that if we do not, then it will somehow make that person right or condone their behaviour.

Recently, I heard my Teacher (Gangaji) say “Positive emotions are endless…negative emotions cannot remain if we truly go into the truth of them”. Again, because the truth will set you free. I have found that this is also true for our thoughts. Positive thoughts are endless…negative thoughts cannot have a hold on us if we are willing to go into the truth of them. If you are willing, you will find that these thoughts will lead you to freedom. Follow a thought to the end and you will find that it will lead you to the real truth. The pain is in believing the first thought, buying into this thought, and holding on to this thought.

I am convinced that if you live your life in this way of truth, you will find that more and more of who you are NOT, falls away from you. Our strategies, ‘those things we do’, those games we play, no longer serve us, leaving us with the true essence of who we really are.

Should you need help with this process, there is a very successful tool to help you find this truth. The Journey (developed by Brandon Bays), has helped hundreds of thousands of people all over the world to get to the truth of what the issue, whether it be emotional or physical, really is. And then, not only does this issue fall away from you, everything else that you were not aware was related to this issue, also falls away.

My hope is that one day we will recognize this word ‘truth’ as a beautiful concept.

All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.”– Galileo Galilei
